Privacy and Cookie Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit aphroditevacations.com, why, and how.
1. Data controller

We process personal data in line with the TRNC Personal Data Protection Law. For visitors located in the European Union, we also apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data we process

This site has no forms, user accounts or newsletter. Please do not include sensitive information (health data, ID numbers, etc.) in your emails.
Emails sent to info@aphroditevacations.com are forwarded automatically by Cloudflare Email Routing to the mailbox our team uses, which is hosted on Google Workspace. They are not stored on our web server.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary: These are required for the site to work securely and do not need consent.
- We save your cookie choice in your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie and is never sent to us.
- Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, for example __cf_bm (bot protection; expires after 30 minutes of inactivity) or cf_clearance (shows that your browser has passed a security check; valid for 30 minutes on this site).
- Cloudflare asks supporting browsers to remember, for up to 7 days, where to send a network error report. A report is sent only when a request to our site fails, for example when a page, an image or another file cannot be loaded. Successful requests are not reported (see section 4).
Analytics (optional): Google Analytics. It loads only if you select "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you select "Reject", Google Analytics does not run and no data is sent to Google through Google Analytics. We use it with Google signals and ad personalisation turned off.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" button at the bottom of every page. If you change your choice to "Reject", we delete the Google Analytics cookies set on this site. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
We do not set advertising or remarketing cookies on our own site. The video on our Surf Club page loads only when you select it (see section 4). Once loaded, it may set YouTube's own cookies or use similar technologies.
4. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the following service providers, and only as far as needed:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: content delivery, security, the secure connection to our server, and forwarding of emails sent to info@aphroditevacations.com (Email Routing). If a request to our site fails, supporting browsers may send Cloudflare a network error report. Cloudflare states that these reports contain no personally identifiable information and that it does not log your IP address when processing them.
- Our hosting provider: netcup GmbH. Server logs.
- Our email provider: Google Workspace (Google LLC). Emails forwarded from info@aphroditevacations.com arrive in a mailbox hosted there.
- Google LLC: Google Analytics, only if you give consent.
Some features load third-party content only when you select them. Until then, no request is sent to the provider. Once you select them, the provider's own privacy policy applies:
- YouTube video: the video on our Surf Club page. It loads only when you select "Enjoy our Video of surf club". The player then loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, provided by Google. Google receives technical data such as your IP address. In this mode, YouTube states that watching the video is not used to personalise your YouTube experience or advertising outside our site.
Links to our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Tripadvisor pages, to Google Maps ("Open in Google Maps") and to other websites take you to those sites; we do not load them on this site. The maps shown on this site are images stored on our own server.
5. International transfers
Our hosting provider, netcup GmbH (Germany), stores the site in its data centre in Vienna, Austria. Cloudflare and Google may process data on servers outside North Cyprus, including in the United States. These providers describe the safeguards they use for such transfers in their own privacy terms. Cloudflare and Google state that they are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
6. Retention

7. Your rights
You can contact us at info@aphroditevacations.com to:
- access your data and receive a copy
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data erased
- restrict or object to processing
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
We reply within 30 days. You may lodge a complaint with the TRNC Personal Data Protection Board. If you are in the EU, you may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
8. Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). It has no forms or user accounts, and your emails are not stored on our web server. Access to emails and analytics data is limited to authorised staff.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with its "Last updated" date.
